Hi, I'm Amanda!
I am currently a Posdoctoral Research Scientist at Columbia University's Medical Center. I am interested in broad questions about evolution from various levels of biological organization from genomics and molecular evolution to population genetics and ecology. I am currently working in Laura Landweber's lab focusing on using computational and bioinformatic approaches to systematically describe the process of rearrangement in a model ciliate species, Oxytricha trifallax. My PhD work was modeling evolutionary forces on paralogous genes. Check out my website to get to know me!
